How to Join as a Cadet

  1. After you attend three (3) squadron meetings, you may submit the membership application in either of the following three ways:

    1. Online (Preferred Method)

      1. Confirm your eligibility with the squadron commander.

      2. Once approved, access this link to the online cadet application and submit your information and dues ($35/yr).

      3. When you join online, your form of payment is charged immediately.  However, the membership is in a pending status until the squadron commander verifies the prospective cadet's proof of identity.

      4. Once the proof of identity has been confirmed, the commander can approve the application and the cadet will be an active member.   For a list of acceptable documents used for proof of identity, please see Attachment 2 in CAP Regulation 39-2 CAP Membership.

    2. Paper

      1. Download the Cadet Membership Application or obtain one from the squadron

      2. Complete the application, both cadet and parent/guardian should sign, supply the proof of identity and a check or money order for $35 payable to "National Headquarters CAP"

      3. After the squadron Commander or Personnel Officer reviews your application, mail your completed application and dues payment to:
